Welcome!

We are the newest division of the Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA)! We received approval of our new division on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Our division encompasses the area of Utah whose zip codes start with 847 (Washington, Kane, Piute, Iron, Beaver, Garfield, Wayne, and parts of Millard and Sevier Counties). Before that we were a model train club that formed in 2001 in Washington County.

TraxWe have a full division meeting on every third Tuesday of the month, usually at Ed's Clubhouse. Everyone, from NMRA members to newcomers are welcome to come! At this meeting, one of the group's scales will make a presentation to the whole group. Also, members show off and talk about the stuff they have done (and/or bought) during the past month.

We also have group scale meetings where we meet at one of the member's homes. These are usually more informal meetings where we get together and help with each other's layouts or more importantly, we run each other's trains!

UTA FrontRunnerYou are welcome to come and join us! You can come to our monthly meeting or you can contact us here for more information!

We also have two modular layouts that we try to set up at least once a year to show to the general public. One is HO scale and one is N Scale. The N scale layout is currently set up in a member's garage. Please contact the club if you would like to see it.

June 9: HO

Hi guys.  Hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend.  Mine was great!
Went to the NMRA Rocky Mountain Region Convention in Greeley,
Colorado.  Jim Harper was there also.

This Tuesday, 9 June, is our regular meeting.  Was going to be hosted
by Lee but he and his wife are painting the inside of their home so I
said I would host it.  Lee will be giving a clinic on lighting
buildings, inside and out.  Should be a worth while clinic.  No tools
or material are needed this month, altho you might bring paper and
pencil for note taking.  If you plan on coming, please drop me a note
by email or phone so I know how many chairs I need.  Hope to see you
all here.

Here is a google map to his house: 1409 Tamarisk Drive
